The first chapter in my working life was as an actor and theatre stage manager. I’ve spent my life telling stories and I continue to do so.
I live with my wife Rachel and my two dogs on the edge of the Peak District in the UK - most of my spare time is spent walking, reading and catching up with box sets.
For the last ten years, I’ve been photographing weddings, refining and perfecting my relaxed, story-telling approach. I photograph on average 40 weddings a year and try to find something different for every wedding couple I work with.
3 years ago I was asked to run a workshop on my approach to documentary wedding photography and that has expanded into running full day workshops across the UK (and even a solo, workshop in Crete in 2018).
As well as photographing weddings I photograph live theatre for a few national theatres and it's a way of getting my photography to a wider audience through Nation Newspapers and exhibitions.
