I believe that, your wedding photographs should show more than how beautiful you look at your wedding. They should remind you what you live and feel on that day.
My mission on each wedding is;
- to produce meaningful, evocative photographs that focus on the precious moments
- to help your future self remember the true story of your wedding, and possibly tell it to your generations
- to make you feel, when you look at the photographs, like you are there and then again
With that mission in mind, I have been photographing weddings since 2006. I am usually the closest person to the couple through their wedding day, yet I manage to stay unobtrusive, leading them only when they require me to. Most of my couples seem to forget about my presence as the day unfolds, which yields to those unexpected, relaxed, "in-the-moment" images.
Currently I live in Istanbul with my wife, and my son who, after all these years, helped me realize why I love photographing weddings; it is because I am creating images for my couples that they and their grandkids will not just love to look at, but will also find touching and meaningful, even after many years.
