I grew up in New York, studied film and photography at Montana State University and spent five years as a newspaper photographer in Montana, New Mexico, and Colorado.
Since 2005, I’ve been photographing weddings full time, traveling a lot and falling in love with color photography and Mexico.
An old friend once said that "reality is more creative than I am." I love this! It took me a while to learn that my role as a photographer isn't about me or impressing other photographers. It's about the people and places I photograph and capturing what's real, not directed or trendy. Reality, whether pretty or not, is always the most beautiful. I don't use couples as props to win photo contests and will never tell you what to do or where to do it. I want to make art about you!
